AegiDesk, remote access to your devices
AegiDesk shows you the screen of another Windows computer. The person at that computer has to accept each connection. Before accepting, both people check that their screens show the same 6-digit code.
Pre-release version, for 64-bit Windows 10 and 11.
How a connection works
Someone asks to connect
The other person requests the connection from the AegiDesk installed on their computer.
Both screens show the same code
The request dialog shows who is asking, whether the device is new or already known, and a 6-digit code. Check with the other person, for example by phone, that their code is the same. If it differs, deny.

Example code. Every connection gets a new one. The person at the computer accepts or denies
The default button is Deny. If nobody answers within 60 seconds, the request is refused.
The session is recorded
Requests and sessions are recorded on the computer being shared.
In pre-release During the session, the computer shows a notice that stays on top, with a button to end it.
Connecting by ID, through the server In pre-release
Outside the local network, a server puts the two computers in touch and relays the encrypted data between them. On a local network the connection is direct.
What the server knows
- The ID and public key of each device
- The network address each device connects from
- Which device asks to connect to which, and when
- The amount of data it relays
What the server does not see
- The screen being shared
- What is typed or done with the mouse
- The private keys, which never leave each computer
Project status
AegiDesk is in pre-release. There are no stable releases yet, and the protocol and the format of stored data may change between versions.
